A One Bird Blog Devotional
In my heart, I am a poet.
But realistically, I have a full-time professional career. Maybe this is true for you, too. You ache to commit your days to what has meaning and margin, but find yourself spending the majority of your productive hours at a job that is uninspiring or unfulfilling.
Maybe, like me, it didn't start that way. I chose a career in non-profit work because I saw the potential for purpose, for making a difference. And there is. But not enough.
When I wrote this devotional, I was aching for inspiration in my life and work. After my work day, I had nothing left inside with which to create. No energy at the end of the week to write one word. Can you relate?
But what changes when we realize God is a poet and we are a poem? Everything.
